The short version:
CH3 does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Period.
What data does CH3 collect?
None. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
- No accounts. There is no sign-up, no login, no user profile.
- No analytics. We don't track how you use the app.
- No crash reporting. We don't collect crash logs or diagnostics.
- No advertising. There are no ads and no ad tracking.
- No network requests. CH3 does not phone home. Your videos, presets, and settings stay on your device.
Camera & microphone
CH3 requires camera and microphone access to record video. This data is processed entirely on-device using the GPU. Recordings are saved locally to your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
Photo library
If you choose to save a video to your photo library, CH3 requests write-only access. It cannot read or browse your existing photos.
iCloud
If you have iCloud enabled, CH3 may sync your effect presets via iCloud key-value storage. This is handled by iOS and goes through your personal iCloud account. We have no access to this data.
In-App Purchases
CH3 Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information.
Third-party services
CH3 does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, or advertising networks.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page. But realistically, our policy is "we don't collect your data" and that's not going to change.
